When the news was released on Thursday 28th May at the COVID press release that dental practices are able to open on Monday, June 8th, we were pleasantly surprised as like many of you we had no idea that this announcement was going to be made and we all found out at the same time!
We were looking forward to getting back to see all of our lovely patients again on the 8th of June, but we still have a lot to do to enable us to reopen safely.
Until we are able to plan and prepare your appointment times safely, with staff having the correct enhanced Protective Personal Equipment (PPE), we have taken the decision to reopen the practice for routine treatments towards the end of June.
On Monday 8th of June, we have a couple of team members returning from furlough and they will be contacting all of the patients who we have had to cancel or place on our priority list (those who have called with dental emergencies or dental problems) to book them in first when we are able to offer routine treatments again.
In the meantime, we have a dentist on call each day at the practice who will be able to offer minimal face to face treatments which do not warrant the enhanced PPE – treatments that require no drilling or those that do not produce any aerosol, placing temporary fillings, simple extractions, checking for oral cancers and denture problems etc.
We know how difficult the past couple of months have been for some of our patients, and all other dental patients in the UK, but please be patient with us for a little bit longer whilst we get everything prepared for you at the practice
Jon and Irfan and the team here at The Staffordshire Clinic would like to thank you all for being so supportive during these times, and the kind messages that we have had sent from some of our lovely patients have been very welcomed!
We look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
We have on site parking and a public pay and display opposite which is free at certain times (check signs for info).
We are also a 2min walk from Uttoxeter bus station and 10 min walk from train station.
